Dedications, Christenings, Baby Gifts, or for any special occasion! The lace stitches out in the embroidery machine and all you have to do is cut the bootie out when finished and sew the sole to the top of the bootie! The soles are plain so that you can embellish them with the baby's name and date of birth, if you so desire! Unlike other lace booties you may find, these are not glued together, they are stitched together and babies really can wear them on their feet! They are very dainty, and look like they are crocheted!
The samples were not stitched out as free-standing lace, but you can attain the look of free-standing lace by using tulle or netting. For best stability of my lace booties, I recommend that you use tulle, organdy, organza or another sheer type fabric to stitch out the lace on. It helps if you are already familiar with my other booties collections, before purchasing this collection.
Booties are considered Size 1 infant (foot of bootie measures about 3.5 inches long), and will fit babies newborn to 12 mos, but it mostly depends on the size of the baby. Smaller and/or skinnier babies are going to be able to wear them longer than big babies.
They are available in Large and Small hoops. Smaller hoops are split-files in all formats!
